SPECIALIST ONLINE INTEGRATION THERAPY AND COACHING FOR PSYCHEDELIC EXPERIENCES

PSYCHEDELIC INTEGRATION THERAPY

Making sense of
what the medicine
showed you.

Specialist online integration coaching for people who have received ketamine through a clinic, treatment programme or retreat. Whether the experience felt profound, confusing, difficult or hard to put into words, I help you understand what emerged and consider how it can be carried into everyday life.

Informed by 13+ years of psychotherapy experience and direct work within a medically governed ketamine-assisted psychotherapy programme in the UK.

Online sessions available internationally.
You do not need to have received treatment at Emerge Clinic.

Hello, I'm Paul.

I am a psychotherapist specialising in psychedelic integration and Director of Psychotherapy at The Emerge Clinic, a UK ketamine-assisted psychotherapy service. My work sits at the point where the psychedelic experience ends and everyday life begins: helping people understand what happened, explore what emerged and decide what it means for the way they live.

People come to me after ketamine treatment, retreats, ceremonies or personal psychedelic experiences when something still needs to be understood, integrated or carried forward into ordinary life.

Paul Gibson — Director of Psychotherapy, The Emerge Clinic

How I can help

The experience may be over. The process may not be.

Something important happened, but you cannot yet make sense of it.

The experience was real and meaningful, but the language or insight to understand it has not yet arrived.

The insight felt clear at the time, but everyday life has returned.

Life moves on, but the understanding has faded. You are unsure how to hold onto what mattered.

You are unsure what the experience meant at all.

It was confusing, difficult or overwhelming. You do not know what to do with what you found on the other side.

You know something needs to change, but you are unsure what.

The experience showed you something, but the next steps feel unclear or out of reach right now.

Integration begins by making room for what actually happened, not what you expected to happen.

Integration is where an experience begins to become useful.

Integration coaching is a collaborative space to explore what occurred, make meaning in the context of your life, and consider how to move forward in a grounded way.

1

Understand

We slow down and find language for what actually occurred.

2

Connect

We link it to your history, relationships and life right now.

3

Apply

We consider what is helpful and realistic to change.

You remain the authority on your experience. My role is not to tell you what it meant, but to help you explore it carefully.

WHY PEOPLE SOMETIMES TURN TO KETAMINE OR PSYCHEDELICS

What brought you to the experience matters too.

Depression

Anxiety

PTSD

CPTSD

Trauma

OCD

People often arrive at ketamine or psychedelic experiences after years of trying to understand themselves through therapy, medication, self-help or personal work. For some, the struggle has taken the form of depression, anxiety, trauma or obsessive patterns that have not fully shifted through conventional approaches.

Integration begins by placing the experience in the context of the life that brought you there. The diagnosis matters, but so does the person, the history and the life you return to afterwards.

The experience does not happen in isolation.

Understanding what happens after ketamine

UNDERSTANDING

What does ketamine integration actually mean?

Exploring what integration is, what it is not, and how it supports real change.

AWARENESS

Why ketamine insights can fade after treatment

Why clarity can soften with time, and what supports lasting understanding.

SUPPORT

How to support someone after a ketamine retreat or treatment programme

Practical ways to be present, supportive and helpful without trying to fix.

“The aim is not to keep someone inside the experience. It is to help them return to their life with a clearer understanding of what matters.”

— PAUL GIBSON

Frequently asked questions

Yes. Most people I work with received ketamine through a provider other than Emerge Clinic. You do not need to have been treated at Emerge Clinic and I do not need to be connected with your original provider.
Integration coaching is informed by psychotherapy training and experience, but it is a distinct, non-medical service focused specifically on making sense of a ketamine experience rather than open-ended therapy.

Yes, sessions are held online and are available internationally, wherever you are based.

Difficult or frightening experiences can still hold important material. We work carefully and at your pace to explore what happened without re-traumatising you.

That is common and is not a sign integration cannot help. We can work with fragments, feelings, or the simple fact that something shifted, even without a clear narrative.

I am happy to speak with a supportive family member with your knowledge and consent, though our sessions together remain confidential.
