SPECIALIST ONLINE INTEGRATION THERAPY AND COACHING FOR PSYCHEDELIC EXPERIENCES
I am a psychotherapist, former nurse, and the founder and Clinical Director of The Emerge Clinic — a ketamine-assisted psychotherapy programme in the UK. I have been present during hundreds of ketamine sessions. I know what happens in that room, what surfaces during the experience, and how much depends on what comes after.
Paul Gibson Integration is how I make that knowledge available to people who received ketamine anywhere in the world.
WHAT MAKES THIS DIFFERENT
I did not learn about ketamine-assisted psychotherapy from a training course alone. I built a clinical programme around it. I sit with people before their sessions — helping them prepare, understand what they are entering, and clarify what they are hoping for. I am present during sessions — working with what arises in real time, managing what surfaces, staying alongside the person through the experience. I work with people afterward — in the immediate aftermath, in the weeks that follow, and in the integration that can continue for months.
That is the work I do at The Emerge Clinic. The integration coaching I offer through this site draws directly from that clinical experience. When someone describes their ketamine experience to me, I am not imagining what it might have been like. I have been in that room. I know the territory.
CLINICAL PRACTICE
WHY INTEGRATION
I became focused on integration through observation rather than theory. Over the course of running a ketamine-assisted psychotherapy programme, I noticed that the quality of what followed a session shaped its effect at least as much as the session itself. People who had profound experiences sometimes found them fade quickly. People who had difficult or confusing experiences sometimes found the most useful material living precisely in that difficulty — if they had space to explore it properly.
Integration is not a supplement to the ketamine experience. It is where the experience becomes useful. That is what I am here to provide.
MY APPROACH
Not what it should have meant, or what it typically means, or what the research suggests. What actually happened for you, in your body, in your experience, in the days that followed. That is the material we work with.
I have clinical training in multiple modalities and I draw on all of them. What I do not do is apply a predetermined model to your experience. The experience belongs to you. My role is to help you understand it, not to interpret it for you.
Some integration is quick. Some takes months. Some questions from a significant experience do not resolve — they deepen. I work at the pace that fits what emerged, not at the pace of a standard coaching programme.
“I am interested in what the experience means to you.
Not in making your experience fit a belief I already hold.”
PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND
My background is in psychotherapy and nursing. I have worked with people navigating depression, anxiety, trauma, attachment difficulties, and addiction over more than thirteen years of clinical practice.
My training in ketamine-assisted psychotherapy took place at the Polaris Insight Center in San Francisco — where much of the foundational clinical thinking in this field was developed.
I am accredited by two UK professional bodies and I maintain regular clinical supervision.
